Links in forum posts not obvious
I know that this stylesheet is the phpBB default, but for me, dark blue and black text looks quite similar. This makes links in forum posts rather obvious, if links occur in the middle of a paragraph of text.
For my post at http://www.lifein19x19.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=221&p=1730#p1730, I wonder how many links you guys can easily find visually, without using mouse over, pressing the Tab key, and so on.

Is that better?

Holy brightness, batman! Give me a few moments to adjust ... I may like it better after a while, but right now it's just overwhelming (especially for links outside posts, like topic titles).

Too much of a good thing?
A lot of guys are a tiny bit red/green color blind; a few are strongly so. So I decreased the red component, figuring that it did not contribute to color for some people. I increased the blue to compensate.
Please post your preferred 6-digit hex code. If we can get a concensus, I'll put it in.
EDIT: I toned it down a bit. Is that better?
EDIT2: I'm on a businness trip in SF right now, working on my laptop. Maybe I should wait until I'm back home tomorrow to finsh this from my desktop. It may give more accurate color.

Hmm, looks kind ugly now. Too purple.
And the color of visited links is pretty much the same as quoted text, such is the post up above.

I thought something looked different around here today -- I like it
but from a design perspective, kirkmc may be right.
I don't care the actual color, but loving the higher contrast.

Color doesn't bother me, but kirkmc is right. The visited links color should be changed too. It's great to see the good contrast between links and normal text, but once you visit it, it becomes very difficult to tell what is a link and what isn't.

Re: Links in forum posts not obvious
I agree on the visited links part. Design wise, I don't really mind.
