Many books

Post by kivi »

So, I have the following books that I want to sell. I am moving, and don't want to carry these, if possible.
I ship from Sweden. I prefer if someone buys all, or most of it, then I can sell cheaper. Less shipping, less hassle.
I aim for 7 eur (8 usd) per book, except the starred one and the pocket books.

I also have glass stones, unused, mid-size thickness, from Japan, 25 eur. Edit: Shipping such heavy items is too expensive in Sweden. I decided not to sell.
For books, shipping inside Europe (or some parts of it), up to 1 kg is around 6 eur, 2 kg is 11 eur.

Hi kivi,

From your photo of the glass stones box,
they are "pine" ( 松 ) grade, which is approx. 10 mm thick.
From your photo of the glass stones,
they appear to be about 9~10 mm for the White stones,
and about 10 mm for the Black stones.
With a caliper, more precision is possible.
The brand shown on the glass stones box is 鳳凰 ("Phoenix").

List of glass stones thicknesses .

I usually use a basic image editor to shrink the photos first, before I post them online.

Hi EdLee,
I had measured the stones (only a white one), and it was indeed 10mm. But I shied away from writing it, as measuring with a ruler is not very precise.
Thank you very much for all the info.

Should anybody face this problem in the future (no calipers, just a ruler) the solution isn't terribly difficult. Take some cardboard and bend it into a "U" shape (a trough) just large enough for the stones to fit and close off one end. Or take a piece of paper made into a tube that the stones will just fit and close one end.

Fill with ten stones or twenty stones, etc. measure the length of that row and then divide by how many stones.
