Tabletop Simulator

Post by tentano »

Today, I became aware of a spectacularly entertaining simulator.

http://www.berserk-games.com/ts/gallery/

Standard version contains the sort of things you'd expect (also go!).
There's a lot of mods for it, like 3, 4 and 5-person chess. There's shogi, xiangqi, and a whole slew of card games.

What's so good about this, though? You can drag and drop pieces as you see fit, colour them, and you can also flick them (there's a crokinole mod too!) as well as flip the table. It even supports the use of dice and there's enough of them in mods that you could play some serious D&D.

It also allows network play so you can throw chess pieces across the board instead of play seriously with all your friends. Flicking go stones definitely works well.

This is a glorious piece of software. I bet you could even play normally with it.
I haven't seen anything anywhere near this good since goat simulator.
