Today i was cleaning old files from my messy desktop.

After finishing, the first thing that came to my mind was that FIRST_GO.pdf was the vital point for good shape.

Okay, this one may take a small explanation.

Image
I was playing DJMax a few minutes ago - a rhythm game where you have small bars falling down with music playing. When the bars hit the red line at the bottom, you have to press the corresponding button at the right time.

Suddenly, in a rather fast track, something struck my mind.

I played a little too much plants vs. zombies. Yesterday while falling asleep I started to play go in a dream-- with pumpkins and pea-shooters as the pieces...

I've done this. In fact, quite recently, it was last night. During the chess game I said to myself, "Okay now this sequence of moves helps me keep sente." I didn't realize I said it that way until I thought about it.
My plan to become an SDK is here.

Haha! I've played that game so many times. Playing a 9x9 with bucket zombies for black and pea-shooters for uhm, green, would be a cool idea for one of the mini-games.

I don't remember that shape ever occurring in one of my games.

But I recently noticed that the Glider from game-of-life occurs in the crane's nest sequence:

Now that is dedication!

I have been compiling a photographic "portrait of my life" for a great-uncle's forthcoming 80th birthday - he keeps asking about what I do and how I live and so on. So, fine, a big collection of photos. And according to my database, this representative sample of 130 photos of the last two years of my life has 34 taken at Go tournaments. And all the photos of "places" (this is a pretty bit of Edinburgh; here is a picturesque bit of Chester; this is a lovely beach in Wales) are ... taken when I went there for Go tournaments. Something's taken over my life a bit, hasn't it?

... you realize that the start menu on your windows computer doesn't contain anything besides 5 Go-related programs (CGoban 3, Moyo Go Studio, WBaduk, GoWrite and Panda-glGo).
