I hadn't realised there could be such complexity in a 3x4 board. Complex enough to last for 16 minutes with 10-second byoyomi at the end....

I have Animal Shogi for 5x6 and the full 9x9 boards. It's a really nice game for bringing out and playing with friends.
The 3x4 is fun too I'm sure, but the 5x6 is great for quick games. The 9x9 is nice to play full shogi and also to be able to play people who don't know how the pieces move.
