I'm having trouble getting our computers here at the library to sign in to the KGS server, which is awkward since our Go club may be entering a tournament soon. Our IT guy does not want the downloadable app installed on the computers.
As the website announcement from last year says, I have added www.gokgs.com, goserver.gokgs.com, and files.gokgs.com to the Java exceptions list. I still get a message saying that the application will run with 'limited access,' which means that I am unable to log in.
Anyone know what else I can do here?

Do you know if the port to KGS is open?
I'm not sure what the limited access warning looks like. I just used the web client now, and it seemed fine.

The library will have a firewall, that needs to be configured to allow requests on port 2379. If you don't know what this means, it doesn't really matter - the tech guy in charge of the library computers should know.
