Another game against Kugutsu

Post by tekesta »

Here is my latest game against kugutsu on OGS. I still lack the requisite aggressiveness in the opening and I still have to shed the tendency to follow my opponent all over the board.

This is one of my previous games against kugutsu on OGS.

Much obliged in advance for your comments.

Hi tekesta,

Game 1.

:b17: You are not aware W's lower right group is not settled.

:b41: N3.

:b43: wrong feeling. What are you trying to do ? Cut off 1 stone ?
Why do you want to cut off only 1 stone ?

:w44: of course W wants the outside hane N8.

:b47: good fighting spirit, but this shape...
You did not read W pushing out at N9, did you ?

:w72: Letting W connect out is a disaster. Study where you went wrong.

Hi tekesta,

Game 2.

:b13: Again, you are not aware W's upper left group is not settled.
( Like in game 1, :b17: , and letting W live and connect out by :w72: . )
This means you're very unclear about the status of a group --
is it strong ? Is it weak ? Is it OK ? Is it dying ? --
Are you asking yourself these questions for every important group ?
