When White approached the lower right with 8 at N4 you wrote, "I wanted to answer this by extending from F3 stone since if i answer by Q5 or P5, he'll attack my stone at left." This is exactly the point in this position. So why didn't you go ahead and pincer?!!

You are right.. I thought about it but then decided to secure right side territory.ez4u wrote:When White approached the lower right with 8 at N4 you wrote, "I wanted to answer this by extending from F3 stone since if i answer by Q5 or P5, he'll attack my stone at left." LOL! This so much like the way I play. Well, I hope at least you feel sorry about your choice.PlaySlow wrote:You are right.. Hi PlaySlow,
either way (reply with shimari or pincer);
certainly not at these levels. The real, big mistakes happen later.
For example, after
, F4 is kind of a perfect shape for White.
So jumping out to F5 with
is very natural.
But you didn't jump to F5 -- and even this is not a problem, not at these levels.
Again, the real, big mistakes happen later.
For example, the local fight starting with
--
hopefully some high dans can comment on it,
and point out both the good and bad moves in this fight.
Up to
, you first make a kind of toothpaste for yourself.
IMO there's no problem withPlaySlow wrote:I thought about it but then decided to secure right side territory.

Re: 12k vs 2k KGS Analysis (No handicap)
I only looked briefly at this game, but my question is: Why did you resign in the final position?
It seems to me the game could still go either way, black has a lot of secure points, white has an even larger Moyo, but it is not secure territory yet(you can still invade it(that is, work with the stone already invading it), and there also seems to be a little aji at the right side of it). Would you also resign this against a player of your level? If not, then why would you resign?
Because he "is 10 stones stroger and will surely kill my invasion" is not a good reason imo, as you could also resign the starting position by that logic.
