GoClubsOnline PayPal Integration

A great way to raise funds for a club is to accept payments online when participants register for a tournament or other event. GoClubsOnline now makes this possible with the addition of PayPal integration. Visitors can pay their registration fees online when prompted with a credit card or PayPal account. Organizers can optionally invoke this feature with a hosting club PayPal account at any time. Registration fees can always be collected at the door and all funds are under the control of the club. Sounds intriguing. However, site appears to be suffering some serious performance problems. Registering took an eternity, and an hour later, am still waiting for the confirmation email.

Naturally, the e-mail arrived within a minute of my post. The site remains intermittently sluggish, but I'm willing to accept that it may be related to connection issues from my side.

Is this site intended to only serve AGA (or USA) clubs?

Not at all.

While we've integrated many of the AGA required functions for running a tournament including having a pairings module that is certified AGA compliant, we have included a number of features to support clubs all around the world. Tournaments can be run using the European Go Federation ratings and results submitted to them, clubs can maintain their books using a currency of their choice and Google Translate is integrated to help non-English speaking subscribers find their way around. Paypal should also be able to accept payments in any of their supported currencies tho' to be honest we've not had anyone test that.

We can only offer tech support in English. (At a push we might be able to work with Spanish and Estonian speakers. One member of our volunteer team has studied Estonian and there are many Spanish speakers in Santa Fe, NM where we are based.)
