Greetings from Austria
Hi, my name is Alex, I'm 27 years old and I've started to play Go 3 weeks ago. Hmm... ok, I've just played a few games against the computer on Pandanet (IGS), because I want to learn and play that game on a real goban and with real stones first, before I start to play online. But the problem is, there is no Go Club in Innsbruck. [emoji17]
Or maybe I can find someone in this forum, who would like to teach and play Go with me. [emoji4] I have accounts on every Go server. ^^ My username on OGS is Alex U. And my username on IGS, KGS, WBaduk, Tygem and DGS is Asmael. [emoji4]

Re: Greetings from Austria
Grüß Gott
I would really recommend trying to find someone to play with over the board, it's just so much more fun as a beginner, believe me.
In case there really isn't any possibility for that, I would seriously consider switching to chess instead (for example), as it is somewhat similar and there's probably a club near you.
But if you want to stick with go regardless, one piece of advice: start with small boards (9x9, later 13x13) until you have a basic grasp on some simple tactics. On kgs and ogs you can play on even smaller boards than 9x9 and you can chat and have your games reviewed, so that's probably a good place to start.
Anyway, viel Spaß und willkommen o/

Re: Greetings from Austria
You can try to find players from your city and also nearby tournaments in European Go Database.

Welcome!
You may know already, but there is also a German language board for go.

Did you check out goverband.at? There's no Go club in Innsbruck but you can find at least a contact, maybe he can help you.

Yeah, I've contacted him and he answered, that he would play with me, if I'm interested. He also said that a few people contact him sometimes. Maybe we can found a club someday. [emoji4]
