Go Board Pedestal/Table

Post by Ntran4247 »

Like many, I'm a person who loves Go, but can't afford to get a nice floor Goban. I've got a decent table board that I love and a nice set of yunzi stones, but I often times find myself yearning to go on the floor in classic seiza position while playing the greatest board game ever conceived. I read a post on this forum with a person with similar desires, but the only choices were to get a table from Ikea or buy an out of budget pedestal from Jzool. So, I decided to just build one for myself and I must say, I am very happy with the results. Below are some photos of it...

Feel free to ask any questions about it!

There is a cut out in the table for the board to fit in. The table is roughly 35" x 23" x 12". It has space to fit the board, bowls, a Go/Chess clock, and even a pot of tea. The board itself is about 2.5" thick and the cut out for it is about 1" deep so about 1.5" of the board is visible.

Beautiful.
I mean both your new set, the pictures and the young ladies.
You seem to have the same go set (board, yunzi stones and bowls) as I have.
Enjoy the game, this beautiful set up and the undoubtedly cheerful games you and the ladies will play on it.
