Played a Joseki correct my first time ever seeing it

Post by leonprimrose »

I was playing a sequence in game and was unsure how I did in figuring out what I needed to do in the situation. I just looked it up and it looks like I found all of the moves on my own! It's not often that I try something new and I get it right on my first attempt without ever looking at it before so I had to tell someone and I don't know anyone irl to brag to lol

here's the joseki:

When going over a professional game (kifu) I often guess the next move. Same with pro chess games. Then I get inspired to play a game and go on to lose even faster than usual.

Still officially AGA 5d but I play so irregularly these days that I am probably only 3d or 4d over the board (but hopefully still 5d in terms of knowledge, theory and the ability to contribute).
