As something to take up my time when I'm bored, instead of doing nothing and procrastinating about studying Go (When I'm sick of tsumego), I REALLY want to go through all the games in invincible. It's just a light play through and read of.

Games 1-5


Also I beat a 5k or something. He could've come out and then we'd have a ko that I get to take the first move of. Maybe I'd let him kill my corner in exchange for the ko. Also instead of w62, I could hane underneath, he'd back off, then I make a tiger's mouth shape and then he plays some such p13 move. This is NOT the kind of game I want to play so I need to rethink how much I want to keep taking points and giving away influence. W64 at S16 and 72 at R10.

After attempting to get rid of playing unconfidently, being scared, and just giving up, I've been recently more able to beat 5k/4k and the one Xombar in free games so far.

I started to mess around on flyordie, but once it was at least a bit obvious to me the guy wasn't a ddk, I began to take the game a bit more serious and try to play in a way I normally wouldn't. I notice I won by ~20 and yet he took zero corners. The second move of the game was a misclick(?) by me as I intended to attach underneath. Oh well.

:b25: I wasn't sure of a move here, but I'm pretty sure counter pincering was the right option. I don't know WHICH move to play, however.

Maybe this is the wrong direction. Since I was OK at the bottom I felt I could at least attempt to develop this area while chasing white, but maybe playing a move near the o6 area is better. Which one, I dunno. Maybe it'd have some affect at an invasion on the bottom.

Maybe I should've hane'd at the top, but I felt at the time this didn't gain him much. If he plays r7 he still has no base ish as I could play r9 next? If he played s6 I could hane at r7 and he can't cut me.

If he just played normal joseki, I planned to completely devalue the top area in terms of points (He's low and I have Q17), and then try to get something on the left. He did not do this. I was sad.

A move like e15 didn't go so well in my reading.

Not sure what to do but I didn't want him to connect so easily.

This sequence was me experimenting with something I'd normally not do. I didn't have points here anyways, so I cut him.

There's no need to connect like I normally would. It wouldn't make sense for him to cut me right now as he'd be doubly surrounded.ALTHOUGH I attacked from the wrong direction. Should have been a move from the bottom.

I thought at this point a cut would've been severe against me and I already had strength ish to play m3 later. Maybe I should've jumped to attempt to connect my two groups since if he cut me I'd get another move.

Oh boy, I had no clue what to do here but at least he played out what I read. Too bad he could poke out that eye anyways even though I captured the stone. My one move at didn't even help against that.

Trying to help force myself to connect.

All in all, a 40 minute game with minimal reading. And I should be reading. Also he has one big group and I have 4.

I got wrecked. Also the internet was supposed to go out like 3 hours ago for about a day and yet it's still here. I try hard to play differently against people way stronger and it never turns out well. But I guess that's better than just underplaying and passively taking points to lose by 30 at the end.

A pincer in the top right would've actually been nice because after he invaded I kind of winged it and the game went downhill from there. :X

I tried too hard to attack that group, but I always do. White literally did NOT care about what I was doing (Tenuki to the left) and showed me how he got out of "trouble"
