Kirby wrote:Not exactly "rengo", but I want to play a 3-on-3 game where each team consults (privately with one another) and agrees upon a move before playing. So for every black move, the black move discusses what to do in hide tags until agreement, and the same holds for the white team.

Black team cannot look at white team's hidden discussion, and white team cannot look at black team's discussion.

Does anyone want to play?

We're just one player short, if anyone wants to chime in.

OK, so if the people are still interested, we have:
Kirby
emeraldemon (me)
skydyr
TegaiS
Joaz Banbeck
andreyl

That makes 6. Any suggestions for the pairing? We could just do it randomly, or we could try to balance the strengths somehow.

In the past these games usually die from lack of participation. Maybe a rule like "if a week goes by without a move, any of the three players can move" to keep the game going?

Sounds good.

Perhaps a third party can select teams - either randomly or by strength. Then it'll be unbiased.

And the at least one move per week rule sounds good.

I suggest Capital first letter team vs All lower case team. I think it is random enough.

Seems as good as anything else. Is even fine?

I assume we can just post @team or @TEAM (as appropriate;) ) in hide tags and when there's a consensus, someone declares the move.

Okay, let's go. I set up a thread here to get started:

viewtopic.php?f=36&t=12435

I took the liberty of declaring the number of stones to use for nigiri. Once we get started playing, collaborate with your team for each move.

Have fun!
