Does anybody else hate GIFs substituting for video?
Not everybody has unlimited bandwidth, especially people using their smartphones who don't have access to wifi.

Played it once, and we got wiped. It doesn't look even remotely winnable, so I won't bother again.

Pandemic is definitely winnable. The luck involved in setting up the deck can make some attempts more difficult than others, but experienced players can achieve a pretty high win rate. I actually think the game is most fun when you almost win.
Still, it's not everyone's cup of tea.

IMHO, Pandemic is a very good game which which to introduce people to modern board games.
