If F6 was indeed a joseki mistake, that's at least the second time recently that Ke Jie has fallen behind because somebody played an old joseki. Youth has its advantages, and I guess it's drawbacks, too.
I am looking forward to the final game!
Didn't watch the AGA broadcast - F6 was really called a joseki mistake? I would have thought this was well beyond the joseki.
f6 was move 51, which is not what those links are about. I presume wineandgolover didn't really mean f6. f6 is long past joseki and wasn't criticised by Myungwan.
Result depended on Chinese rules, which let Ke Jie play dame while final ko was open, then win final ko after filling last dame. Can't get closer than that

I thought perhaps Brady meant H6. If so, I did find 15 games in the badukmovies.com pattern search where H6 is played, including modern games. Dunno, will have to wait for Brady to chime in...
Wow, that's exactly why Black is penalized for 7.5 points in Chinese rule(1 points more than Japanese/Korean rules). Black has the right to finish the last dame in the meanwhile winning the last ko.

Yep, I meant H6. Sorry for the error. If it's been played 15 times, it can't be too bad, can it?

Want to see videos of low-dan mistakes and what to learn from them? Brady's Blunders
AGA's live stream of game 5 attracted 13,000 viewers at its peak. I've inserted it below, because I thought it was very good. We need more go broadcasts like this!
What a fun series! Yay for Ke Jie!
