They're roughly the same I think, so I would start from beginning.

If you care about the games, the first book is
2000-12-04 - Against Yoo Changhyuk
2001-05-15 - Against Lee Changho
2002-08-03 - Against Yoo Changhyuk

and the second...

2003-03-25 - Against Lee Changho
2005-01-08 - Against Chang Hao
2006-09-01 - Against Lee Changho

The third not out in English is

2007-01-06 - Against Cho U
2008-01-24 - Against Park Younghun
2009-02-25 - Against Gu Li

Interesting to see his choice of opponents, essentially showing who (else) is top in the world around that time: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/andrew.j.s ... Table.html

If you can only get one of the books, I recommend that you get the second. In terms of the games and the analysis, both books are excellent, but...

I spent countless hours editing the manuscript of the second book, to polish the English. For the first book, I only became involved as a proofreader fairly late in the process and was much more restricted in terms of changes. So my opinion is that book 2 is better if you care about such things.

You are of course welcome to view this as a biased and egotistical comment and ignore this advice completely :)

There are sample pages available for the books on our website, so you can look at them and make up your own mind:

We're editing book 3 now, by the way, but it looks like it's going to take a while.

I read all three books in Chinese and preferred the first, although they were all excellent.
