dfan and Actorios, when are you guys gonna play? I wanna know who my opponent will be!
That which can be destroyed by the truth should be.

Trying to set it up now... it might not be until the weekend of July 17-18 (I hope that's okay), since we're on different continents and I'm having to work this weekend (going crazy trying to get our latest product out).

27: Overcommitting to one side. Because of the possibility of Q7 and P7, pushing out into the center threatens both sides. Just play N5, and let white worry about which one he wants to save.
32: Too close to strength. J5 is also a ladder breaker, and gets you out.
34: Feels heavy. Again, I'd try something like J5 or K4.
38: You don't have time for this.
53: Nice move!
55: Feels premature.
62: Now, if K8 and K7 were removed, would black play K8?

I won the game because K1ndOfBlue resigned, but I should have lost. Good game K1ndOfBlue! It was fun.

Thank you for the game dusk. I counted and I think you were ahead (i suck at counting though so take that with a grain of salt) but it it is closer than what I thought and I probably should have stayed in there.
Good game though i had fun.
Thanks to shadrona also for the review afterwards.

Hmmm maybe I'm dumb, but I think black can live in the upper left corner after A16... add some diagram later
Edit (oh sry after posting I saw that I inverted the colors) :
Here is the situation with the important stones around....
After 1 Black has two options to try the kill, the obvious first:
2 at 'b' to reduce Whites eyespace, white takes two stones ( the stone at '6' and 'a') with 5, now black needs to throw in with 6 to make a false eye, but white can simply play 7 and connect outside, cant he?
Ahhh now I see, Black can kill like this... well I post the diagrams anyway ~ a nice and short reading lecture ^_^ :

Very fun game... I was totally outplayed!!
Post-mortem mode: What would have happened if white had connected at C6 for move 124 (instead of the descent at B1)? Does black still live?
Edit: I think black connects at A3, and we get a ko fight?

Re: Life in 19x19 Title Tournament, Round 1 and 2 draws
I think I have a thousand year ko with the descents to B4 and E1, and I was happy enough with that. I'd most likely spend the time patching up all the big ko threats. There's also the ko threats I have in return for my group in the top left. I don't think there's an outright kill, but I couldn't read a seki, let alone life (unless you consider 1000-year-ko seki).
EDIT: Magicwand is right of course, C1 and connect is a seki.

On that point, my real concern was wB4 instead of connecting at C6. That looked like ko to me.

topazg and myself will be playing tomorrow (July 14) at 1900 UTC, which is 2000 BST (topazg's timezone) and 2100 CEST (my timezone). I play as herminator, BTW

I was beaten by the killing maelstrom that is the herminator, but a really great game nonetheless
