Hi! I've finally decided to register after lurking for so long. I'm quite new to Go, having only played a few games against a computer, all on boards smaller than 19x19.
Go is a surprisingly interesting game, originally I thought it would be tedious, but actually turned out to be quite fun. I loved learning about its sheer complexity in the number of possible games, yet simplicity in actual gameplay. Unfortunately finding people where I am who even know about the game is difficult enough (in everyday life), let alone finding someone who plays it.
Hi everyone

Re: Hi everyone
Welcome, yasher175,
you may want to check out your country’s Go Association (if there is one), usually they have a page where they list Go clubs and/or individual players who have registered with them.
If you tell us where you live you may even get replies from people near you … anyway, it is real fun to play IRL, and since Go can be quite contagious, maybe you will find that you can even initiate a Go club in your area if there is not already one. Also, Go associations often support local Go clubs with materials — of course there should usually be at least one member of that association.
Enjoy your journey into Go, as painful and gratifying as it can sometimes be
Cordially, Tom

And what EdLee says: Tsumego! I for one love ’em, always have Tsumego open on the iPhone on my desk in front of my main computer and whenever I need a little braintickle, I go through a few
and I believe it has made me somewhat stronger than I “deserve” to be (since my strategy still is quite bad): in the late midgame I often win games that before I had lost in the opening and early mid-game; this I attribute to successful “tsumegofication” of games
