Well, if you do a full translation, I also do the final versionKirby wrote:No problem. But I'm not done, yet. It is somewhat unsatisfying if it's not done. I have made some more progress. Not sure if I'll be done by tomorrow, but I will be done soon.
Still, we should check that everything makes sense in context of the app, and correct as necessary to make it look professional.

Brilliant work, klieve.
If Tygem updates their software, will my Google Play autoupdate and overwrite this install with Korean?

No, you'll pretty much be reliant on making your own updates or getting third party apk elsewhere when Tygem upgrades.Drew wrote:Brilliant work, klieve.

Re: Help translating Tygem for android?
Yeah!
2214 lines later, and the document is fully translated.
Some caveats:
1. All translations were made without any context. I do not have an android device, and did not see what the translation looks like after recompiling with these strings.
2. Near the end of the list, there are several tournament names. Some were familiar, and some were not. I made a best effort attempt at translating them.
Particularly due to #1, above, I would recommend to those that are compiling these strings (oren, klieve, others?), try compiling, then play around with the interface to find unnatural phrases - then update the strings file. I had no context in translating, so it would be good to do this sort of proof-reading of the translation.
Happy compiling!

Re: Help translating Tygem for android?
Version 1.2.67 will probably work if they do not change the logic. Updates already need to recompile again. But I think they will add a translation in due course and in the official version.oren wrote:No, you'll pretty much be reliant on making your own updates or getting third party apk elsewhere when Tygem upgrades.Drew wrote:Brilliant work, klieve.

Is it the same strings.xml file? Do you need another translation?klieve wrote:They have already laid out the update, version 1.2.67 is not working

Re: Help translating Tygem for android?
There are changes to strings but before that, I have an issue with the recompile on the new one. It looks like apktool upstream is fixing it.Kirby wrote:Is it the same strings.xml file? Do you need another translation?klieve wrote:They have already laid out the update, version 1.2.67 is not working
So I'll look into that fix and then get the new strings file, put your changes in and then see what is needed.

Re: Help translating Tygem for android?
Ok, I figured out and have a workaround for a new problem. Kirby, I updated the strings.xml on the google doc. There are a few new ones. Mostly at the end but a few are interspersed.

Done. I updated with new translations.oren wrote:Ok, I figured out and have a workaround for a new problem. Kirby, I updated the strings.xml on the google doc. There are a few new ones. Mostly at the end but a few are interspersed.
Incidentally, I saw a number of new messages related to AI. I wonder if they were inspired by AlphaGo :-p

Re: Help translating Tygem for android?
With many thanks to Kirby, new version is up at
https://github.com/oren740/go-tools/tre ... oid/output
It's a pretty large UI change from the past. After I got used to it, I do like the new UI.

Can the text on the large white round button at the bottom right of the main menu be translated?

Re: Help translating Tygem for android?
Funny, I just sent a message to Kirby about that. It means change server but they put it in the graphics. I'm not a graphic editor, but if anyone wants to modify the file, so it's in English, I'll take it and make a new apk.Drew wrote:Can the text on the large white round button at the bottom right of the main menu be translated?
Just send me a pm with your email for the file.
