Hi my name is Dean Hickman II, and I have been playing Go off and on. I recently started playing more after the Alpha Go thing. I like playing on the Go server, but would also like to play face to face games. Currently I am only available to play Face to Face on the weekends. Most of the LA Go clubs meet during a week day in the evening although I think the Santa Monica Go club meets on a Saturday once a month.
I try to do Go problems and have bought the "Graded Go problems for Beginners volume 2", and also have the Life and Death problems from Cho Chikun.
I have read the first two volumes of the Janice Kim books for beginners at Go. I keep re-reading the second volume.
I am a weak double digit Kyu player who enjoys the game.

I will look up information on clubs in Alhambra, thanks. I think the club in Pasadena only meets during the week and not on a weekend, but I will double check.

Still officially AGA 5d but I play so irregularly these days that I am probably only 3d or 4d over the board (but hopefully still 5d in terms of knowledge, theory and the ability to contribute).
