Re: Go Eye real time livecast of Deep Zen vs Cho Chikun toda
Did you change the thread title to tie in to the Cho-Zen game?

Re: Go Eye (goeye-app.com)
Recently I have been writing more game comments with diagrams here at L19 using Go Eye. I have been increasingly disappointed by the need to exit the current game and go into settings in order to change the number of moves displayed (which is, more importantly, the number of moves that are numbered in an exported diagram). Would it be possible to change the location of the control and put it inside the game somewhere, such as the menu that opens from the upper right corner?

Isn't the option in the upper right menu ( "(9)" in the option menu )?ez4u wrote:Recently I have been writing more game comments with diagrams here at L19 using Go Eye. Well I learned something new today! Yes it is already there, I just never knew.GoEye2012 wrote:Isn't the option in the upper right menu ( "(9)" in the option menu )?ez4u wrote:Recently I have been writing more game comments with diagrams here at L19 using Go Eye. Re: Go Eye released 3.0!
A major revision.
Supported split screen multitasking layout for iOS9+.
Added option to show part of the board for life and death problems.
Did a major change of in-app browser by switching the in-app web browser to webkit kernel.
Improved Yikeweiqi live cast and fixed broken links.
UI polishes everywhere. Small bug fixes.
Upgraded third party libraries.
One thing to note that from this version: only iOS8+ is supported as the new Xcode has restricted version be at lease iOS 8.0. For those with old devices that cannot be upgraded to 8.0 (3.5" iPhone, or iPad below Air), we are sorry that your devices could not be supported by this version.

IOS 9.2 here. Update was not possible: says that the new version is not compatible with my ipad.
Best,
Please check if it is possible to upgrade other apps?
This is highly possible caused by iOS 9.2's bug (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7461510?tstart=0, also http://apple.stackexchange.com/question ... -only-open, or the Google result may help https://www.google.com/search?client=sa ... update+app)
Hope you can resolve the issue with the methods proposed in these links.

Re: Go Eye released 3.0!
Generally if not updating in App Store app, it belongs to the problems of "App Store" app.
If Go Eye opens and crashes, it is Go Eye's problem.
Please describe more in details about the situation, as your previous comments have little information. Have you tried the proposed solution above?
And finally, a question, Have you switched your App Store account? (So that you apps belonging to other account can download, while Go Eye cannot.)

Re: Go Eye released 3.0!
I now understand where the problem comes from: I have a 4th gen IPad which is not in the list of compatible devices for Go Eyes 3. This was specified in your announcement.
But consider that 4th gen IPads are compatible with iOS up to 10.2 (3th gen up to 9.3) so maybe Go Eyes could support these now old but perfectly functioning models ?
Anyway thanks for your excellent app.

Re: Go Eye released 3.0!
I see. I have tried to maintain Go Eye so that it can run on most older devices until this version. All previous Go Eye version < 3.0 can still run from iPhone 4 and all iPad devices from first generation, requiring min iOS version to be 5.1.1. But Apple's development tool XCode with its SDK and iOS images has stopped to support new submission below iOS 8.pleiade67 wrote:I now understand where the problem comes from: I have a 4th gen IPad which is not in the list of compatible devices for Go Eyes 3. When the app supporting iOS 8+ is uploaded, Apple set the supported devices in iTunes store. It is very strange to me that there are devices like iPad 4th gen that can run iOS 8+ but not in the supported list. It seems that there is no setting in the XCode to control the compatible devices (If any one knows it, please let me know. And I am happy to toggle the setting to make it compatible with as many devices as possible).
Thanks for reporting the problem and sorry that your iPad cannot run Go Eye.

Re: Go Eye released 3.0!
I think I know the reason why iPad 4 cannot be supported. Because iPad 4 is running 32-bit CPU. Apple is promoting all apps to support 64bit.

Re: Go Eye released 3.0!

Re: Go Eye released 3.0!
Thanks. Worth a try. If it is OK, will include it in later version.pleiade67 wrote:Maybe this helps ? (don't know if it applies to the last version of Xcode)

But cutting 32-bit apps support will be coming rather soon (And Apple's tools will enforce more and more restrictions).
