For the past several days the AGA website has posted some announcements about a preliminary tournament to decide on North American representatives to the first Tiangfu Cup tournament.
Does anyone know anything about this tournament? When it will be held? How many total participants there will be?
Also, the AGA news articles have said many of the games were broadcast on KGS. I wasn't able to watch any of them live, but I'm interested in looking at the games. Does anyone know what account was doing the broadcasting so that I can look at the game files? (I looked under USGO1 which is the typical broadcast account for the AGA, but there doesn't seem to be anything more recent than the US Go Congress games).
Thanks in advance for any information.

Re: Tiangfu Cup, North American Prelim, and the KGS Broadcas
I saw one of the games, Mingjiu Jiang 7p vs. Ryan Li 1p but unfortunately didn't save it. I know that the AGATD account was there, but the games aren't under that account's public history. You might contact Jeff Shaevel or Dennis Wheeler. I think the official e-mail is tournaments@usgo.org. It would be nice to see this in the E-Journal.

It's Tianfu, not Tiangfu. Tianfu Group is a major Chinese group spanning many sectors.
The Korean qualifier has also already begun.

Ah, so it looks like the games were actually played using personal accounts on KGS, not played live and then broadcast. Thanks for the information and for the spelling correction.
