Hello everyone,
Greetings from Canada.
I am new to the game of Go. I am also interested in Shogi, Xiangqi, and Janggi.
I'd like to download and install a Go software to play on my MacBook. However, the process seems overwhelming as it seems I have to know computer language. It seems that many Go players are software developers (I am not). Is there a Go software for Mac that I can download and install without getting to in depth in the computer language knowledge?
For example I was trying to download Sabaki for mac but what program do I use to open and install it as the file name ends with .7s (I really have no idea what it is lol).
Thanks in advance. Hope to learn a lot from everyone here.
E

Welcome! I hope you enjoy the game!
A 7z file is a compressed (zipped) folder. There are several programs you could use to extract (unzip) it. The Unarchiver, available on the Mac App Store, might be easiest for you to install. I plan to get a new Mac laptop soon, so I may be able to point you in the direction of some easy to install software when I have a chance to try it out myself.
