Ibotaro question

Hi, first post on the forum

Does anyone have any experience with the ibota wax for use on clamshell stones?
A friend of mine recently went to Japan and most graciously brought some powdered wax back for me, as it is impossible to get here it seems.

Unfortunately the was isn't really powdered, but rather in the form of small granules (see picture below). The videos I have found that shows the use of ibota shows the wax as really dusty and a very fine powder.

Does anyone here on the forum use ibota-wax, how much of a fine powder is your wax? Should I perhaps ground my wax into a dust before I use it?

Cool that you can use it on your vinyl records, I have a small collection of records. Might want to look into that

Here is a video of ibota was being used on go stones (scrub to the 3.00 min mark). You can see it dusting right before the spill.

Don't use raw eggs to 'wash' your shell stones!
That's just infinite food source for bacteria!
Not sure about this family's ( ibota ) techniques...

The craftsman's clip is more promising.

It sure is! Clip only used because it shows the wax:)
