Go website for children

Post by spook »

I just made a little website to teach Ewout (my 2 year old son) the basics of Go.
It basically, is about Rabbits, Carrots and Flowers.

Only the flowers can be clicked.

When that happens, a rabbit appears.

When all rabbits are there, the Carrot gets eaten.

For the time being, I hosted it here:
http://www.brugo.be/rabbits/index.html

I wanted to share it, in case somebody else wants to give it a try with their children.

It's intended for touch devices.
It has no audio (yet) , and you may want to zoom a little (it doesn't autosize properly yet).

Have fun ! :)

Tested it this evening.
After capturing all carrots he said: "Finished! ... Again?"

Awesome!! Thanks for doing this, I will try it out with the kiddo.

My 2-year-old already has some pretty advanced Go technique down though--check out this B2 Bomber variant:

She does look really devoted and concentrated.

One more thing: there's also a cats and birds version. http://www.brugo.be/cats/index.html

Enjoy.

@EdLee sure :) that would be a lot of fun.

Just not that easy to find decent SVG image files for it.
Did you have anything in mind ? -
If you find/deliver SVG images, then it would be my pleasure to make a build for you :).

The bird just flies away and lives happily ever after. No animals got hurt in the making of this or any other software I ever made.
