Go Set for Beginner/Intermediate Player

Post by jackrimonious »

Hello - I'm a 20 kyu or so, looking for a good goban, stones, and bowls. I want something nice enough that it'll feel good to use, so I'm willing to invest about $200-300 in it - any recommendations of a good set?

I’d also love a good recommendation of a 13x13 and 9x9 board!

Hi Jack, for some reference points, you could browse Kuroki .

Welcome to the family.
If you’re in the States, you can check amazon to see what is readily available without international shipping. The range of selection and quality have, in my opinion, diminished over the last decade. My last several interesting acquisitions were used gear So be sure to check eBay, etsy, your local craigslist, and other outlets for used equipment.
