Two games against an 8k on OGS

I would like to thank you all for reviewing my previously posted games. Now I bring to you a couple of games I just played against someone who I think is really 6k, judgeing from how this player plays when holding an 8k rank. I felt as if I were following my opponent around the board, not taking initiative strategically. And I felt like my fuseki knowledge was woefully deficient, especially when it comes to intrepid invaders and handling attempts to start fights early. Finally, I don't tenuki enough, it seems. In the first game I lost by 22.5 points, while in the second I lost by 52.5 points.

Here are a few comments on the first game. A few ideas :

• Corners are big. You seem to neglect them and prefer moves on the side.
• Don't play small moves which lose sente.
• Don't play empty triangles unless you have a very good reason to do so.

A few remarks on the beginning of the second game. Again to be taken with a grain of salt since I am only OGS 5k.
