I see that, to mark 30 years of goodwill exchanges between Korea and China, the Koreans have proposed a ten-game match between their respective Number 1s, Si Chin-seo and Ke Jie. We can infer that Sin has already agreed, but a reply is still awaited from the Chinese side.
The proposal suggests a game fee of 100,000 dollars for the winner and 0 dollars for the loser, with 5 games each in Korea and China, but with the match ending early if there is already a clear result.
I gather that Ke Jie already thinks Sin is stronger than the first AlphaGo. The AI graphs of Sin's games do seem remarkable. So with a 0-dollar game fee Ke might seem to be in a position of nothing to gain. The previous one-sided 10-game match between Yi Se-tol and Gu Li (6-2 to Yi in 2014) may also come into the reckoning. The game fees may need to be renegotiated.

I am a bit astonished that 0 is even proposed.
A good system naturally covers all corner cases without further effort.

The zero game fee for the loser doesn't seem to be consistent with the idea that the match represents a celebration of a period of good relations. I'd like to see both winner and loser have the same fee. Winning would be enough of a prize, I would think.

Re: New ten-game match summit proposed
I'd love to see a new 10 game match. Someone else was just discussing the possibility of such a match. Maybe it was over on OGS though.
$100,000 dollars? Isn't that less money than making an appearance at 10 Chinese billionaire's kid's birthday parties? Maybe there is some confusion in the reporting and there is a per-game fee along with a winner-takes-all prize.

1) It was 100k per game.
2) It seemingly isn't happening.
