US GoCongress 2023

It has been usual over the years to commit to the location of next year's Congress during the current Congress.
Does anyone know if this was done this year for Congress 2023?
If so, where will it be?
If not, what is the reason for the delay?

I wasn't there, but I've heard Cleveland.

I was there, and I heard Cleveland.

I think there are some logistics to work out before they make an official announcement, but from what I understand there was no other city proposing to host next year.

I didn't attend any meetings, but the rumors I heard were something like this:

- Someone was willing to host at Case Western University in Ohio
- Case Western changed some youth policy; Case Western is a no-go
- Same organizer is in search for a new venue in Ohio, maybe in a different city
- There's a backup plan to hold it in Montana if the Ohio venue issues aren't figured out. I think this was with a different potential organizer

All of this information is just from rumors I heard here and there throughout the week at the 2022 congress. Some or all may be false.

Wow Montana would be awesome. Wonder if there are devoted Go players there for organizing, or if that can be done from afar these days.

Brian's report matches my information so precisely that any inaccuracy might be my fault.

Bozeman Montana has long been a back-up dream of outgoing President Andy Okun. The AGA would have to paratroop organizers and now that Andy is outgoing, perhaps this is more of a humorous "There is always Bozeman" line at this point. The Ohio team is committed, but they need to secure a site.
