Comparison of Traditional Weiqi Rules v Japanese Igo Rules

Post by Elom0 »

Pgwq and Cassandra have both given us extensive information on nuances of Traditional Chinese Weiqi Rules and Japanese Igo Rules. While I'm not necessarily trying to find out which one is 'better', since they seem to represent opposite approaches to baduk ruleset theory, Ithink essentianly a table-like comparison of all the pros and cons would be most enlightening for a wide scope of thought in rulesets.

When the updated AI programs told players to go 3-3 point, I think it's time to consider the traditional weiqi rules.
