Googling gets me to https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Computer_Go/Mailing_Lists, which directs me to http://computer-go.org/pipermail/computer-go/, which returns a 404 error.
I did subscribe at one point, so I may have the contents I'm interested in saved, but I think I'd prefer to have a web based interface I could look at.

Answering my own questin: here is an archive that goes back to 2007: https://groups.google.com/g/computer-go-archive.
Also, I have a question about how practicioners thought about progress prior to AlphaGo. Was anyone here involved in implementing computer go programs prior to AlphaGo, or alternately have a recommendation for people to ask (I of course have names, but I don't know if they're names of people who'd be open to questions from a random guy)?

I think you should try Remi Coulom, https://www.remi-coulom.fr/.hyperpape wrote:...

Now I'm very curious as to what it is you want to find out from the list!hyperpape wrote: Was anyone here involved in implementing computer go programs prior to AlphaGo, or alternately have a recommendation for people to ask?
