Group game on KGS, pro review

Post by Peter Hansmeier »

Some players in Minneapolis are getting together to create a group account on KGS. Our idea is to play a game with slow time controls, pool our thoughts for each move, and then analyze the game afterward. In addition, we plan to have a professional player review the game (not a live review).

It would be even better to arrange a game where our opponent(s) are doing the same thing. This would help us find a game with slow time controls, save us the hassle of getting an appropriate rating, and we would know that our opponents were serious. Plus, we could split the cost of getting reviews. (Or just take turns paying for the reviews.) Would anyone (individual or group) like to play against us? Right now we will have three players, with the strongest about AGA 3d. We would like to play against players who are at least that strong.

Ideally, we would play the game at 1:00 p.m. CDT on Saturday, September 4 (18:00 GMT).

Man, this seems like a fun idea. Sadly, I'm nowhere near par to play. Will you be posting the review here afterwards?
Someday I want to be strong enough to earn KGS[-].
