Re: September DDK Swiss
Guys, I don't know how my name got on the list. I didn't sign up for the tournament. Could this be a result of my post in the other thread about the rules system used? This was just a response to a comment, not a signature. Sorry for any confusion I may have involuntarily caused.

No problem someone else was listed accidentally for the same reason I'll just pair your opponent with his.

Re: September DDK Swiss - SinK vs psk31
SinK and I will be playing our Round 1 match this Saturday (4th) at 14:00 UTC.
Side note - Now I realize what a challenge it can be to schedule matches when you can have 6+ hours of time difference.

Re: September DDK Swiss
Since my opponent left the tournament, did I get a free win, and with who do I need to play now? And are is my win count 2 points, because we needed to play two games. Sorry, if I am annoying

Someone else dropped out so you have been paired with his opponent. Check the second post of the thread it has been edited to include your new match up. Also if an opponent did drop out you would receive a bye not a win which would get a 0.5 pt for that round same as a draw.
To clarify every round takes two games. Your points are based on your score for the round not on each game. So winning both games in a round gets you 1pt total a win-loss gets you 0.5pt and a loss-loss gets you 0pt.

Re: September DDK Swiss
Erm. I didn't actually drop out... It's fine that I was removed though since I didn't actually sign up in the first place. But maybe a little notice next time? I've been sick for the past two days which is why I've been unable to play.

This is kind of a just for fun type thing so I didn't want to make you play a bunch of games out of obligation. If you do want to play now that's fine too. Since this is fairly informal it isn't to much of a problem to add you back in, you can take a bye this round and I'll put you in next round's match up.
I'll wait for confirmation on whether or not you want to play before I do anything though.

Kept playing the second game well after it was finished not sure why I guess I was just on autopilot. Still some good l&d practice.

Re: September DDK Swiss
SinK beat me to it. The first game I resigned and in the second I stubbornly kept playing trying to see if I could carve out some life in pockets. That would be a no. So the final score was quite ugly.
One thing I have to get used to is the faster times being played. I haven't played that much on KGS and the only over the board play I've done was at the recent U.S. Congress where the Open matches were 90 minutes and the self-pair matches were 45 minutes. So the thing to do is play more quick games on KGS and get used to that and keep doing problems each day.
And now to keep working on losing my first 50 games, now standing at 16 losses, 1 win.
