Tomadoi Rain - Hikaru no Go

Post by LR24 »

Hey,

Some of you may know Rainymood which you're supposed to use while listening to your music at the same time. Depending on the music you choose, it can really feel relaxing.
Now as a Go player, what else could I do other than looking for Hikaru no Go music that fits with this?
I found the track thats called "Tomadoi", kinda some sad music, but you probably recall it from the Anime.

So, follow these steps to try it out:
- turn on your speakers/headphones
- open http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VbpPxQL50c
- open http://www.rainymood.com/ in another browser window
- just.. listen

In case you like it, I mixed the Tomadoi song with the rain and have it as a mp3 file. The only thing holding me back from posting it here is that I'm unsure whether that would be violating any copyright, as especially the Tomadoi-song is from the Hikaru no Go CD. You decide and I will post it. Maybe uploading it to youtube is a good idea, too.

Of course you can also look for more music that goes along nicely with the rain, I found slow piano music to fit best.

I've found music by Kitaro to be particularly pleasant with rain (and because I live in the Rainy State, don't really need the Rainymood track so much :D).

Mmm, regarding a particular anime OST with music similar to the one you posted, I think Kimi ga Nozomu Eien's OST comes closest. Lot of melancholy music with plenty of piano, here's an example (it's a cover, but sounds very similar to the original OST version): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZLuUL3ExIY

I really like it :) Maybe you could send it per PM to interested people (like me) instead of publishing it here on the forum?

I hadn't heard of RainyMood before, but it seems to suit my constant desire for white noise rather well (I frequently have a fan going, even in the winter). I always listen to music when playing go, I think I'll try this along with it. I'll probably listen to it when studying as well.

Right now I'm listening to it along with Pandora Radio, set on a station for the artist Philip Wesley (a solo pianist).

i like this, it sounds very good "nothing else matters" and "stairway to heaven" by apocalyptica; it also sounds good with "orochi" by kitaro

and as previously stated, works as white noise :)
