Well I got cooked!

Post by POGO »

Hey Lin19,

Sorry for the dissapeerence but life caught up with me yet again.

For the past few months alot has happened.

The canadian goverment and all there wisdom decided to audit me for no reason.
I got pretty sick a month or so ago.
job has been overkill.
Wifes college started again
etc.etc.

on to goodish news.

Me and mini have been playing as much as we both can find time to.
He hasnt been playing so much due to lact of father being around (work)
in fact most of our games have been over the board.

with work not being overloaded due to renovations ive had a bit more time to wind down at work.
so ive been appering on kgs more and more.

im thinking this weekend of getting mini back on kgs for some standard games.
and getting my kgs rank up to a stable level again.

etherway cheers im back (sort of)

Oh heres a random pic of me (left) and my brother

Well, the web site for it is here: http://www.stalkor.nl/ASR/

There's another thread regarding it on this forum, if you want more information. But in a nutshell, it's a free league broken into divisions. You have to play against four different people over the course of the month, in order to stay in. You can play anyone in your division without a handicap, and you get two points for a win, and one for a loss. I joined it as incentive to get myself to play more games, and it's been working. Because there's no handicap, you get some games against higher players and some against lower. It can be a really good learning experience, and everyone seems friendly and helpful. However, the lack of handicap can result in some crazy results. I lost to an 8k, and a few days later, beat a 3d. Almost everyone is willing to review, so it's just a fun experience.

Pogo: Glad to hear it! Maybe we'll get into the same division! If not, we could always play a game anyways, for fun.
