Re: Mafia Go #1
My idea, and the way I've usually seen it done, is that people discuss and vote. if by the end of some time there is still a tie, the game mod randomly picks one.
That's what I propose to do.
I've also seen it done that only a majority vote works, as soon as there is one, the move is picked. If there is none before a certain period, nothing is picked. If this were the case, 6 of you would have to vote for a move for it to be picked. If it got to the end of the period, the color would pass. I think this could also work.
By the way, I'm thinking of ending this period tomorrow around this time.
That's what I propose to do.

Re: Mafia Go #1
I may be a bit irregular in my posting for the next 10 days. Wife and I are taking scuba gear, going to Mexico to play tag with manta rays. Internet connections there may not be reliable.
However you guys want to make the rules work is fine with me.
If I am absent for too long, and you need to have a move from me, please pick the next NBA game on the schedule, use the algorith described previously, and you have my move.

This makes perfect sense for voting someone out and sounds like what we should do when we're voting people out, just like in regular Mafia.
For regular moves, however, I'm not sure there's a need to do it like (regular) Mafia votes. Have you seen what you describe played for Mafia [insert game here] or just for regular Mafia? Voting someone out is quite a big deal and it makes sense (at least in regular Mafia; we've yet to see that the game we're playing makes sense
That said, I'm happy to go along with what you propose (it also sounds fun, just time consuming).

With hope of having a majority soon, I'll move my vote from the 3-3 point to tengen (fivegen is hilarious, though "translating" it to get gogen is perhaps even more ridiculous; I guess that would mean "the source of five").

Re: Mafia Go #1
So, does 3-3 have a majority now? I'll count it in the morning, and make the move that has more votes. Too tired right now to even count. :S

E6! Tengen crosscut fight!
Actually, on second thoughts, too many forced boring continuations for the next few moves.
My nomination is E7

Boston Celtics = x coordinate; Cleveland Cavaliers = y coordinate. Game ends about 9:00pm Yucatan time.

G6. I'm planning on voting Joaz off since he insists on not giving us any information, I invite you to join me

Haha, me too
My way of not giving away my side is to play as well as I can for both sides - with the occasional sub-optimal on tiebreaks if they occur

Re: Mafia Go #1
If enough of us pre-commit to voting against him, maybe he will consider changing his strategy... I'd be ok with that, too.
