Wow, this game has strategies, and meta-strategies, all over the place. :)

I like the 3-5 now because it keeps White's options open.

And yeah, if Joaz is just going to vote randomly I'll vote him off too.

I vote for the attachment, 4-5. That is, E6.

Alternative strategy for Joaz: move using GnuGo. If applicable (I don't know how GnuGo works) tell us the seed you're using for random number generation (as well as all other specifications) so we can double check.

Not sure even this would save you, though: looking grim!

Sigh. Have I landed in "Lord of the Flies"? Shall we expect you to start sporting face paint and attacking anybody who looks different or who thinks differently?
You guys are becoming bloody savages. ;-)

As a favor to you four, to aid in your badly-needed enlightenment, I offer an example of rationality. The Celtics won 104-86. My move is F6. ( rotated from F4, as the convention seems to be to put them in the northeast )

Connections here are flaky, more later.

The 'a' label seems to be misplaced.
A good system naturally covers all corner cases without further effort.

Change mine to E, as it's the same point (still symmetrical)...
That which can be destroyed by the truth should be.

I should know better than to use an example from American literature with a Brit. He replies with a reference to Hollywood.

Ok, that vernacular works for me...I'll try again:

Have I landed in the "Twilight Zone"? Specifically, on Maple Street? ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Monste ... ple_Street )

As Rod Serling says while the closing credits roll: "The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, prejudices, to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill, and suspicion can destroy, and the thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all of its own: for the children, and the children yet unborn. And the pity of it is that these things cannot be confined to the Twilight Zone."

Ah, but Joaz... it's a game. The game is a give and take. You CAN perfectly hide your team affiliation. However, at the moment, while we have very little information on anyone, we have the least on you. This may seem good to you, but it means that no one has any reason at all to think that you are on their team. Statistically, there are X people on the opposing team, and X-1 (the one being myself) on my team. Thus, odds are slightly higher that you are on the opposing team. If that's all the information you're willing to give until you start playing moves on the board to make your team win in endgame, then I have to assume that you're slightly likely to be on the other team. With other players, while they are still unknown quantities, they are giving small amounts of information based on their current choices. Consequently, I can assume that I may be able to deduce their team later, and vote them off if they are not on mine. As a result, I know that the truly random player is a slightly worse than 50%, and it will never improve, so I'll be forced to vote you out as well. Unless, that is, you start to show information about you so that I can start to vote intelligently, instead of being reduced to choosing blindly.

By the way, I'm on team blite. Or is that team whack? Now I'm confusing myself.
Someday I want to be strong enough to earn KGS[-].
