Not really, because it is required to display all the posts you have made in the past, which in turn in necessary to retain continuity in threads you've participated in

I think deleting a user preserves the post but turns them into guest posts. But why don't you just empty the fields in your profile and remove the avatar?

It's possible to delete the posts too, but I don't like that.

I think there should be an option to leave and turn made posts into guest posts. Posters should have ownership of the posts they made.

Nah, deleting an FB account is just a Good Idea.

Deleting an L19 account would be a bit of a shame... but it's not like there's no coming back from it.
