IGS ranking & rating (no ranting)

On my user stat page, there is a ranking and a rating. What is the difference? Both of mine say 10k and each are followed by a number. What do those numbers mean?

Thanks Helel and Ed. That explains what the number is after my rating (12458 -which means I've got a ways to go until 10k+), but doesn't explain the meaning of the number after my rank (25). Any ideas?

Is there any description of the guts of the IGS rating system? All the links I've found so far are just tables listing what rating corresponds to which rank.
