Hi,
As many of you are probably aware, I recently played a Malkovich game against Magicwand. I lost the game. When I looked over the comments, I got a good picture of Magicwand's ideas of some of my moves. There was some debate, and Fredrik reviewed some of Magicwand's moves for him.

I noticed though, that there were only about 4 or 5 of black's moves that were commented upon. I was hoping that I could get a full review for black on the game here.

1.) Please feel free to be very harsh and honest with your comments.

2.) If possible, let me know of any general problems with my thinking process or playing.

I did criticize Magicwand so it would only be fair that I did the same to you no? :evil:

NO!! you did criticize me so it would only be fair that you compliment me! :mrgreen:

one thing about above review move 61 variation. white is alive 100% and there is error on corner life.

i still can not give in an move 20 and 21 being wrong and good.
it is too big for him not to answer.
i guess you are stronger so you are probably right but i will still play such move in future.

What is the mistake? I couldn't find the error in the corner. Yes you can live locally, but the shape does not already have 2 eyes right? (You still need to add another move so he can get sente right..?

mistake is way black try to live. at 1-2 point black is dead because of my 2-1 point

and at this stage white is alive unconditionally and he said white still doesnt have two eye.

Ah sorry yes, you mean the variation. Seems I must have misclicked, obviously black play the 2-2 point to make life. After that, I dont think white is unconditionally alive in the corner if you take tenuki

I have one question. On move 27, I think, you suggested that I attach to the capping stone to split white. I can understand the splitting, but doesn't attaching stengthen the capping stone?

I'm not sure I understand this part completely. Could you elaborate?

Hi, sure I can elaborate.

White 26 aims at surrounding your pincer stone, the optimal result would be for him to shut you in. With the attachment, you split his stones while surrounding blacks approaching stone. If you manage to break out and keep your stones relatively safe, white will be in trouble because it will be hard for him to save both stones. Preferably he wants to make the stone you attach stay alive and well, neutralizing your thickness on bottom somewhat. However you will get a considerable amount of points in the upperright as white will be very far fetched in the fight.

Normally just playing the outside hane is not good enough for W in this kind of position, so if he dares to fight here you both will get two groups with you playing first (as he needs to cut you back) and you have the whole bottom supporting you in a fight so you are not fearful! You need to fight with this kind of thickness.

Please tell me if you didn't get me this time either
