I just went to the go club in my hometown for the first time, and noticed an interesting* tesuji during a 2 stone game. Can you find it too? Some stones have been changed from the original position (the three black stones had additional liberties). Also, it would be interesting to know how people rank the level of the problem.
$$ White to play $$ . . . . . . . . . . | $$ . . . . . . . . . . | $$ . . . . . O O O O . | $$ , . O O O X X X O . | $$ . . O X X . . . X . | $$ . . . . . . . . . . | $$ . . . . . . . . . . | $$ --------------------
[go]$$ White to play $$ . . . . . . . . . . | $$ . . . . . . . . . . | $$ . . . . . O O O O . | $$ , . O O O X X X O . | $$ . . O X X . . . X . | $$ . . . . . . . . . . | $$ . . . . . . . . . . | $$ --------------------[/go]
Yep, I guess the change to the problem did alter things. IN the actual game, the three stones in a row had three liberties. This looks a lot uglier, but should be more in line with the real problem.
$$ White to play $$ . . . . . . . . . . | $$ . . . O . O O O . . | $$ . . . . . . . . O . | $$ , . O O O X X X O . | $$ . . O X X . . . X . | $$ . . . . . . . . . . | $$ . . . . . . . . . . | $$ --------------------
[go]$$ White to play $$ . . . . . . . . . . | $$ . . . O . O O O . . | $$ . . . . . . . . O . | $$ , . O O O X X X O . | $$ . . O X X . . . X . | $$ . . . . . . . . . . | $$ . . . . . . . . . . | $$ --------------------[/go]
Intended solution:
$$W White to play $$ . . . . . . . . . . | $$ . . . O . O O O . . | $$ . . . . . . . . O . | $$ , . O O O X X X O . | $$ . . O X X . . 6 X 2 | $$ . . . . 7 . 3 4 1 . | $$ . . . . . . . 5 . . | $$ --------------------
[go]$$W White to play $$ . . . . . . . . . . | $$ . . . O . O O O . . | $$ . . . . . . . . O . | $$ , . O O O X X X O . | $$ . . O X X . . 6 X 2 | $$ . . . . 7 . 3 4 1 . | $$ . . . . . . . 5 . . | $$ --------------------[/go]
If someone could help me make this into a nicer looking problem with the same solution, that would be awesome.
