oh wow. simply "ohisashiburi ne"? he's surely calm about this...

Biondy, was that the reaction of the Japanese Prime Minister? What does it mean exactly?

trout, David (Gogameguru) and John Fairbairn, thank you so much for sharing! :)

Thanks Ember. It's nice to know when people appreciate what you're doing. John and trout, I also enjoy seeing your updates, in these threads and others, so thanks :).

A Japanese player actually won a top-level in an international event!!!!!!! It did occur to me that, on the basis of this portentous event, certain people on this forum may have left the country on the Armageddon outta here principle (aka even if not in Rome do as the Romans just did).

Given that he's actually won it now (and you're still posting) I take it you have an internet connection in the bomb shelter John? ;-) I hope you have enough dan-wattage down there to keep the computer running.

I'm looking forward to getting my copies of your new books. I've studied those games already, but it's always really interesting to see the diverse range of pro comments you dig up. I'll review them on our site once I've finished them.

I don't know whether it is the Prime Minister reaction or not, I simply based it on John's post.
I think it means "it's been a long time, hasn't it"

Edit: OH! Stupid! I misread John's post. it wasn't the Minister's reaction. my apologize.

The Fujitsu cup would have been held in April, but didn't happen because of the earthquake. I had sort of assumed that it was not going to be held at all this year.

It is going to be held. What is the purpose of preliminaries otherwise?

The preliminaries were held before the earthquake and the field was set, so that's no reason.

From your post, I couldn't tell if you were saying that you'd heard news that the tournament would be held or not.

Really? Oh I must have confused them with BC cup or smthg, my bad!
I still think I read somewhere that it will be held.
