White looks dead on the right if black plays first. And even if white plays first, black can still start a ko which white has to win to live.

Well, 1st it is a two-stage ko and 2nd if White wins the ko, it wins in sente (threatening the Black group). So, it is very hard for Black to gain from such a ko.Joaz Banbeck wrote:White looks dead on the right if black plays first. I don't have an SGF, but I see that Hane won by 7.5, so we will see game 7.

Remarkable game. The boldness of Hane Noaki's play was astonishing. I can't recall how many times I thought he would resign, and yet he pulled it off.

Re: 66th Honinbo 1st Day of game 6
The sealed move for the first day was questionable in its direction -- perhaps a move at 63, followed by attachment at corner (D3) would be better? When W cuts through at 86, his advantage was quite clear. The fight at center, where W chose to sacrifice the large O8 string showed how much he was ahead. W 138 appeared to be a blunder in yose. B gained a bit in the ensuing exchange, but not nearly enough to overcome the advantage W enjoyed from the early part of the game.
Over all, it was not a good game for Yamashita. It is rare to see him so hopelessly behind in a game almost the entire way. For Hane on the other hand, coming back to win three in a row after three losses must be a great confidence builder. The seventh game should be fascinating.
