AGA Membership system

Post by vash3g »

Has anyone tried the new membership system yet? Do you like it?

https://www.usgo.org/members

I know a few of you have already tried it out. We've been working on this for like 2 years now and i need to go take our programmer out for beers or something else great. Let us know if we can improve upon this awesome upgrade!

Looks great!

I tried the old membership system June 2 and have not yet received my renewal. Would you please divert some of the beers towards getting the kinks out of the old system so I can continue to be a member in good standing?

vash3g, Please fix your database. It's been wrong for a few years now.

My AGA ID 16081 and 444 -- are both me -- please merge into one account. :)

Thanks.

While I am not the database admin, I helped get it setup. I will forward the request onto the appropriate people.

Isn't asking for someone's date of birth as the first question rather intrusive?

It may be required if you're trying to claim a Youth membership, but...

Part of the reason they try to do it is to match you to existing members. Having a birthday match is easier than trying to match names first.

I've broken the system already. The system won't let me change a password without specifying a state in the mailing address; I live in Canada. No password for me! :(

Sorry about that, Phil. There's a province field showing now for the non-US members. I've fixed up your record.
