Yamashita Keigo defended his Honinbo title by winning the 7th game. It was a tough game for Hane Naoki... He came so close to winning, but Yamashita found an opportunity and things got out of control.
Yamashita (white) ended up winning by 4.5 points.
Here's our report and the game record: Yamashita Keigo defends his title in 66th Honinbo

I was hoping Hane Naoki would win, but it was still an exciting game.

why it occurs to me that i was the only one cheering for Yamashita? (i mean not only you, but also most of the crowd watching live at IGS). because Hane was able to return from his 0-3 score, or something else i don't see?
great game anyway
Spilling gasoline feels good.
I might be wrong, but probably not.

I was cheering for Yamashita. After the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th games, I'd predicted him to win the next, so I was committed.

I was pulling for Hane because I am fan of his and wanted to see him pull back four in a row. Oh well.

yes, probably because he returned from 0:3, whitch gave him a great psychological advantage. I am suprised Yamashita actually defended it. I was cheering for Hane, i like him more then Yamashita (Honinbo Dowa

That and the fact that Hane played so well for most of the final game, only to have the position crumble and slip through his fingers because of one mistake. Is there any Go player here who hasn't had that experience themselves?
Yes, that's Go and there has to be a winner. Watching the game live though, Hane's pain was almost palpable. I think a lot of viewers could feel that.
Of course, Yamashita's skill in seizing that opportunity was also very impressive.
