Hey, EdLee. Feel free to keep posting photos of whatever you see at congress, particularly if they're of members of the forum here. It's very interesting to me.

Re: US Go Congress 2011 Report
I've got sgf of top boards from last night's PairGo, broadcast on IGS. But I need to clean them up and put the names in correctly -- we had inexperienced IGS users doing the broadcasting.Kirby wrote:Cool, thanks! Do you have the SGF?EdLee wrote:Kirby, rengo last night:

I don't know if anyone showed or not, because I was still recording board 1 until about 2:30xed_over wrote:As many as can, gather in front of the EJ Staff room in Santa Rosa Thursday after lunch and before the afternoon events for a quick meet 'n greet

Broadcasting on IGS is funny. Actually how do you do it? They have a demo game option or something?xed_over wrote:

Here we go. Night-time rengo.
From left to right, Judicata, koosh, clack, and tofu. Sgf to follow!
Edit: sorry terrible picture.

And here it is! This game is definitely worth some commentary. I should add that it was fueled by fermented grape juice and some hoppy beverages. I notice Yang Yilun walking around early in the game, and I fear that we drove him away.Chew Terr wrote:Here we go. Night-time rengo.

White: Koosh (1d) Judicata (AGA 4k/KGS 3k)
Black: Tofu (4k) and Clack (4k)
Handicap: 2
Special note: After white 179, we switched colors and black won by resignation (I deeply regret not recording the rest). Most importantly, we all had an unbelievably great time.

I managed to stop by and meet everyone at the table here. (probably just before the photo was taken)Chew Terr wrote:Here we go. Night-time rengo.

Its so hard to meetup with everyone when I'm locked away in the strong players room recording games all day
But I'm having so much fun... and I hope everyone is enjoying the broadcasts

White should have played F18 instead of H19
Yes - that was my fault. Koosh saw it, but left it alone. Tofu actually fixed it when they took white after the sgf. I was just happy i saw S19 given the state i was in.
