Joseki?
I'm a pretty casual young go player, mostly blitz these days, around fifth kyu. I haven't been playing too long and I've just come across the attached SGF, or something similar to it. What's the best way to handle it assuming the surrounding circumstances are open.

I think 3 is usually a mistake unless black has a stone on or around at least one of the side star points. I think 4 is usually a mistake unless 3 was a mistake (white *should* end up with two groups now).
