Well, it kind of sucks to just make an eye and live in gote. Of course I don't want my group to die, so I can either get an eye somewhere or run to the left. It's risky losing my eyes inside, and having to run in the J6 direction. I'll probably die if it comes to that. So I can't really tenuki. If white takes my other eye, I don't see how I can make another one inside immediately, so I'd probably die.
But instead of just connecting, I want to save at least my two stones here. I should be able to save them. If white tries to take my eye:

I'll get some stones.
I don't know how white will chose to respond, but hopefully I can activate some of the aji around a, b, and c in the future. It may not work out, though, if white responds in a way that disallows it. In that case, white probably has around 45-50 points, and I have about 60 or 65, I think. It's not as comfortable as I'd like, especially considering that white has a bit of a wall, but I feel OK.

Does anyone else think that maybe this move isn't the best? I feel like the high enclosure would make a better framework with the bottom left. Maybe something around d10 also, as I think black feels a little flat.

I don't find that so bad for black. Am I over-optimistic ?
The same for Black M14. Is it so bad ? What should hav B play instead ?
White captures the entire corner that way. Black doesn't seem to get enough compensation for that.
Indeed, but it seems coherent with Black M14, Black has then a moyo on the right, most White stones in the center are floating. And there's still aji in the corner.
I feel like black plays the way he did makes one entire group of him totally useless. If he could capture some White stones, I'd understand, but I can't see.

Low looks much better to me. High would encourage white to play G17--a point white wants anyway--and then black has an open skirt on the top.
