In the new version of Nihon Ki-in app there are interactive diagrams, which is great but Japanese is a complete mystery to me...
And to be in line with offtopic - my iPhone and iPad go apps:
PandaTetsuki (new version), Tygem (iPad only),
OroBaduk/CyberOro, Boardz,
DGS, KGS(!, yup, that's right),
SmartGoPro/Kifu, GoBooks,
GoGrinder (l&d), MasterOfGo (l&d), MagicBadukGo (l&d), - I recommend all of them
IgowinJoseki - ok, but always verify with brugo.be and eidogo, a lot of mistakes

This is the first time I hear about a new version of Tetsuki.
Apparently they renamed it to 'Panda-Tetsuki', so the old version doesn't get upgraded.
You have install it as a new app, but first of all you have to know it does exist...
Seems to have some minor new features. The board looks the same (on my iPod, at least), including the permanent icons at the bottom of the screen and the floating navigation controls slightly above (When moving through a game, I have to watch where my finger hits the screen instead of where the stones appear to avoid touching one of the icons by mistake).
One notable improvement seems to be that moving back and forth through a game no longer slows to a crawl at high move numbers.
To sig or not to sig, that is the question.

Re: Nihon Ki-in - new iPad app
I used to use Tetsuki to watch professional games on my iPhone as well as on my iPad in pixel doubled mode. Whether from long chat or something else, it would crash as time went on (perhaps every 20-40 minutes). I have still seen a crash or two, but it seems to be much more stable.
Re: Nihon Ki-in - new iPad app
Wow, if this was in English, or I could read Japanese, I would gladly pay for issues!! Somehow I doubt a translation will come though? Or is Go Weekly translated elsewhere?
Re: Nihon Ki-in - new iPad app
Since the content is all in the form of jpeg images it's also impossible to select text in order to perform an easy dictionary lookup. Perhaps this app will provide the motivation for me to continue my Japanese language study.
